System integrator and turn key supplier of Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems (A-SMGCS) and related systems for optimalisation of airfield operations.

Capabilities
Airport infrastructure, Operations and support, Safety and security, Software development

Profile
HITT Traffic provides advanced technology that focuses on all aspects between landing and departure and that optimises capacity and punctuality, minimising the time that aircraft need to spend on the ground. To do so, we provide solutions that are tailored to various parties: Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), Airports and Airlines. These well-integrated solutions facilitate Collaborative Decision Making (CDM). This allows these parties to act on a common operating picture, which results in more capacity, fewer delays and a high level of safety.

Next to our activities in Air Traffic Control, HITT also provides systems for:

  • Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) that help to ensure a safe, smooth traffic flow at sea, in ports and inland waterways;
  • Coastal Surveillance to assist in Search and Rescue, to monitor illegal activities and to protect the environment.

Selected References / recent contracts

  • A-SMGCS systems and system upgrades for many airports, including:
    Amsterdam Schiphol, Beijing Capital, Bergen, Berlin Tegel, Cairo, Copenhagen, Dublin, Frankfurt, Hannover, Helsinki Vantaa, Leipzig, Manchester, Moscow Domodedovo, Munich, Seoul Gimpo, Stavanger, Stockholm Arlanda, Shanghai Pudong, Singapore, and Taipei Tao Yuan.
  • Ground Label Display System (GLDS) for Schiphol
    The GLDS, developed on the basis of HITT's A3000 A-SMGCS, enables several parties, i.e.Traffic Control, Apron Control, Airside Operations and KLM to perform their tasks on the basis of the same information, a Common Operating Picture. The GLDS provides a real-time overview of the whereabouts of aircraft and service vehicles at the airport, updated every second, through an easy to use web browser interface.
  • Wide Area Multilateration system for the North Sea
    HITT has been commissioned by the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) of The Netherlands (LVNL) to supply a system that will contribute significantly to the safety of air traffic operating over the North Sea. In cooperation with American-based ERA, systems will be installed on 15 offshore and 5 onshore locations. These systems can be extended in the coming years. The system determines the exact location of an object by calculating the time differences in receipt of the object's emitted signal at different locations.
